  • COVID-19 Booster Vaccination Information

    The FDA recently amended authorization for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to allow for use of a single booster dose, to be administered at least six months after completion of the primary series in individuals:
      -  65 years of age and older;
      -  18 through 64 years of age at high risk of severe COVID-19; and
      -  18 through 64 years of age whose frequent institutional or occupational exposure to SARS-CoV-2 puts them at high risk of serious complications of COVID-19 including severe COVID-19.

    Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) issued guidance on who SHOULD and who MAY receive a booster dose. Please click here to review details on these eligible populations.

    For those eligible, a booster dose will strengthen and extend their protection against infection, serious illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19, according to DHS.

    The Pfizer booster authorization only applies to people whose primary series was Pfizer vaccine. Patients who received Moderna or Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine are not authorized for booster doses at this time, per FDA guidelines.

    If you are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine booster, direct scheduling is available through MyThedaCare. Log into your MyThedaCare account and click on the schedule now icon within the COVID-19 Vaccine message. Available appointments will show, and patients can select their preferred appointment time and location.

    Please check back if available appointments are unavailable or do not work for your schedule.

  • Make Your MyThedaCare Account More Secure with Two-Factor Authentication

    Your safety, including that of your medical records, is our priority. Beginning Thursday, July 22, 2021, you will be prompted to complete two-factor authentication on your next MyThedaCare/MyChart login.

    Two-factor authentication, also known as two-step verification, adds an extra layer of security to your private patient information, including visits, test results and medications. Two-factor authentication is commonly used for online accounts, such as banking, shopping and social media.

    With this feature turned on, you must enter a code that is sent to you by email or text message to log in to MyChart, in addition to using your username and password. If you are using a private device such as a personal cell phone, you can enable your device to remember your code, so you only need to complete the two-factor authentication once. As part of our ongoing security, you will be prompted every 90-days to repeat the process.

    Watch this video to see the step-by-step process to complete the two-factor authentication for MyChart.

    Thank you for your understanding, and for completing this important process to safeguard your medical records.
